A number of scholarships have been established by the Foundation to meet specific needs. Many recipients have been benefited from these programs and achieved their educational goals.
($1,000 to $5,000 to each recipient) This scholarship was established in 1979 to honor Professor William M. Fouts. Later, the scholarship was expanded to include academic creativity and awarded to recipients selected by the institutions working in partnership with ECF.

Established in 1987 at the ECF 40th Anniversary Celebration to provide financial aid to student leaders in colleges and universities to encourage them to become more committed in service on campus. This scholarship was expanded in 1997 at the ECF 50th Jubilee Celebration to include graduating high school student leaders who have been admitted into college or to an university. (Funds set up at $100,000)
Established in 1993 by a special contribution of US$100,000 from the Hong Kong Saint Too School Board formerly chaired by Dr. Henry Hsu. The main goal is to equip teachers for better service, and to promote cultural exchange between the East and the West. This program is supported by Azusa Pacific University in California which provides a tuition free scholarship for a scholar to come to the U.S.A. for 4-12 months study as a visiting scholar. The Foundation provides for round- trip air tickets and assists in seeking free or low rate room and board for the scholar.

ECF and Azusa Pacific University have established a productive partnership since 1987. The International Student Services at APU provided opportunities for the Foundation to sponsor teachers from Hong Kong to be better equipped. APU faculty members participated in educational conferences and consultation on English language curriculum development. APU library assisted scholars from China in research and in work opportunity. ECF contributed a love gift of $50,000 for the Darling Library at APU. As a recongnition of this partnership, APU dedicated the Academic Hall of Fame to ECF. | Next
($500 to $2,000 to each recipient)
Established in 1985, after the death of Dr. Andrew Gih, the scholarship replaced the ECF International Scholarship Fund which was set up in honor of William Mefford Fouts in 1979. This scholarship provides financial assistance to college and university students. Application and recommendation required.

(Funds set up at Renminbi $100,000)
Established in 1990 at the New City School, Shanghai, China. Each year, interest from this fund is awarded to selected teachers, staff and students. Amount of each award is determined by a local committee together with the school principal.

This scholarship fund was established in 1995 to honor Rev. and Mrs. Samuel Kho, former principal of ECF Bethel Bible Institute in Maesai, Thailand. Only the annual interest is to be used each year to support the ECF Holy Word Fellowship workers in Myanmar. |

This scholarship fund was established in 1995 to honor Mr. and Mrs. Kok-hui Tan, chairman of ECF Bethel Bible Institute in Maesai, Thailand. Only the annual interest is to be used each year around Christmas for the welfare and benefit of the faculty and staff of the Institute. |

Proposed in 1997 in honor of Rev. Paul Troster, ECF representative in Germany for 33 years (1957 - 1990), this scholarship was set up at a school in Germany to help train a student who is committed to missionary service. The first scholarship of US$5,000 was awarded to Mr. Peter Rupp of the Theological Seminary of Lieberzeller Mission in Bad Lieberzell, Germany.

Proposed in 1997 in honor of Dr. and Mrs. Alton A. Gould, chairman emeritus of ECF International, this special project was initiated by the ECF Board in Canada and supported by the Headquarters Board in Los Angeles together with the International Council. This scholarship is for the benefit of the Agape International Training Center for the disabled in Changsha, Hunan, China. |

Rev. Fai Szeto, joined the ECF worldwide ministry in Hong Kong in 1968. He served as Literature Consultant and Editor of the Grace Bridge magazine at ECF from 1993 until his death in August 2000 at age 86. This Memorial Fund was established in August 2000, in memory of Rev. Fai Szeto, to help needy students, seminarians and pastors, and to build schools and churches in China. The full name of this Fund was changed when Mrs. Szeto was taken to her home in glory on April 8, 2001.

This scholarship fund was established in 2005 to honor Dr. & Mrs. Paul Szeto for their 25 years of faithful service at ECF. This fund was designed for faculty development at the Bethel Bible Institute in Thailand. The first member of the faculty to receive the award was Mrs. Kwong Yui Too, wife of the principal, Rev. Too. She came to Los Angeles for two weeks of special training on Library Automation in April, 2005. Now the Bible School Library in Thailand is fully automated. |

This scholarship fund was established in 2006 through a partnership with Fuller Theological Seminary by (1) providing scholarships for international students; and (2) supporting faculty research that will enrich the study and understanding of cultures and people across the globe |
